Artelys delivers a power flow simulator for TenneT’s website!

12 July 2019

Artelys has developed an interactive web-based model of an interconnected electricity grid, which TenneT uses on its website to present the key challenges of managing its network.

TenneT is a leading European electricity transmission system operator (TSO) with its main activities in the Netherlands and Germany.

The interactive web-based model developed by Artelys for TenneT is meant to create awareness of the challenges of managing a high-voltage grid and highlight the important role of transmission system operators (TSOs) in achieving system stability on a real time basis. It includes three compelling serious games that enable the visitors to “step into the shoes” of TenneT. Through the “expert mode”, the visitor may create/edit/save new power systems from scratch. The simulator automatically and instantly computes the flow of electric power in the transmission lines.

The power flow simulator is now available on TenneT’s website.
