%
U2DEMO
The U2DEMO project, funded by Horizon Europe over three years, aims to develop innovative strategies to facilitate citizen participation in peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading and sharing, while ensuring equitable access to sustainable energy. Launched in September in Lisbon, the project brings together over 30 participants and has a budget of €5 million, involving 20 partners from eight countries. The tools developed will be tested in four pilots in Portugal, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands, within different energy communities. Each initiative will leverage blockchain technology to ensure activity traceability, enabling consumers and prosumers to actively engage in flexible energy services through decision-making algorithms. Artelys will be responsible for implementing the peer-to-peer energy trading system, which will be integrated into the final U2Demo platform.
LocalRES
LocalRES aims to put energy transformation into the hands of communities and people by designing local, renewable energy systems driven by citizen communities (Renewable Energy Communities). The project will deliver new digital tools that will boost the expected structural changes in the current energy system. One of them will be a planning tool, developed by Artelys and based on the Artelys Crystal technology, that will design long-term scenarios and assess their performances as well as enabling the easy spread of analysis conclusions within the community.
ECEMF
ECEMF is a Horizon 2020 funded project whose aim is to establish a European focal-point – the forum – for energy and climate researchers and policy makers in order to tackle the key challenge of our time: achieving climate neutrality. Relying on his experience of the METIS European model, Artelys develops a visualization module that can be embedded into web pages and allows for advanced and highly configurable visualization options to animate the debate among the European community.
FF4EuroHPC
In the H2020 FF4EuroHPC project, Artelys tackles the Power Systems Maintenance Planning problem, in the context of Energy Transition. Our goal is to design and implement technics allowing to simulate thousands of consistent weather and outages scenarios and optimize the maintenance plans over this broad range of scenarios. The FF4EuroHPC project is funded by the European Union and aims at demonstrating the interest of HPC and helping SME in pushing forward their simulation capabilities by means of High-Performance Computing.
INSULAE
Insulae enables the deployment of innovative and cost-effective solutions for the decarbonisation of European islands. A set of interventions relating to seven intelligent use cases is presented and tested in three pilots islands. The validation of the result defines then the Investment Planning Tool (IPT) tested on the other four “follower” islands. The IPT is developed with Artelys Crystal technology and deployed in each of the seven island: Unije (Croatia), Bornholm (Danmark), Madeira (Portugal), Menorca (Spain), Norderney (Germany), Bonaire (Netherlands Antilles), Psara (Greece).
Next
Coordinated by Artelys and in partnership with GEG, INRIA and L2EP, NEXT consists of developing a simulation and optimization tool for the design of flexible distribution power grids (production flexibilities, consumption, storage, multi-energy flexibilities, fine-tuning of the network …).
Planheat
The goal of this H2020 projet is to develop an SIG tool to accompany local collectivities in the construction of alternative low carbone scenarios economically viable for the installation of heat networks. Artelys is thus in charge to develop an integrated plateform and optimal algorithm for the establishment or the sizing of heating and cooling networks.
FrHyGe
FrHyGe is a five-year project funded by the European Union via the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. Its aim is to validate on an industrial case the ability of underground hydrogen storage in salt caverns to provide flexibility services. Artelys will carry out cost-benefit analyses of two industrial projects and a pan-EU replication analysis.
SUPREMAS
SUPREMAS aims to promote European leadership in bio-energy technology by encouraging decentralized gas systems and contributing to the energy transition. The project will develop cost-effective modular and movable syngas production units particularly suitable to treat sewage sludge, digestate and municipal solid waste. Artelys develops a Decision Support tool to assist future interested parties, such as local authorities or potential producers. This solution will provide quantitative insights on the value of integrating SUPREMAS innovative units into local systems. Artelys’s tool will assess the logistics feasibility and advise on the optimal integration of movable units within the local energy system.
SINNOGENES
SINNOGENES is a European project involving 27 partners over 4 years. The project’s objective is to contribute to the development of storage solutions to help achieve the ambitious goals of the Green Deal. During the first phase of the project, a set of storage technology demonstrators are studied and implemented: 6 pilot projects are developed across 5 European countries. Their impact on the energy system is then assessed through several analyses. Artelys is involved in the second phase of the project to evaluate the impact of storage services provided by the innovations developed in the first phase. To do this, Artelys will integrate SINNOGENES innovations into a multi-energy modeling of the European energy system across several time horizons.
Rewardheat
The objective of this H2020 project is to demonstrate a new generation of low-temperature district heating and cooling networks, which will be able to recover renewable and waste heat, available at low temperature. Artelys develops a data mining software to handle the unprecedented amount of available data and the data requirements of modern control algorithms by leveraging Artificial Intelligence to provide meaningful inputs to network operators.
customers
— Artelys has more than 300 customers in 40 countries. Artelys provides various types of services: consulting, development of costum softwares.. which are always adapted to the customer context.
